A patch with the emblem of the crew of the Soyuz MS-22 crewed spacecraft, the launch of which to the International Space Station from the Baikonur Cosmodrome took place on September 21, 2022.
The crew included Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergei Prokopiev and Dmitry Petelin, as well as NASA astronaut Francisco Carlos Rubio.
The emblem of the crew is made in the form of a circle. In the upper part of the emblem, there is the call sign of the crew, "Altai", the state flags of the countries participating in the flight. In the same field below, the names of the expedition members are entered. The top half of the emblem features a stylized image of the International Space Station. An image of the Russian crewed spacecraft Soyuz MS is in the lower half. And below it, there is the name and serial number of the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft, the direction of flight of which is towards the ISS. Instead of the classic logo of the Roscosmos State Space Corporation, the emblem shows an element of the temporary logo, the Red Star. In May 2022, in memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War, in honor of the great achievements of the USSR in space and as part of the support of the Russian Armed Forces, Roscosmos temporarily changed its logo to the Red Star, a symbol of the great victories and achievements of our country.
